The Road

The untold want by life and land ne’er granted.     FZQOV2XR3W                                                            Now voyager sail thou forth to seek and find. –Walt Whitman- Untold Want

And what of the road, the open road, the path I walk; its sweet song that I fail to hear at times, I fail to appreciate out of bowing to my fear. To let go of fear, bid it adieu is to “live the life imagined”, as Thoreau so simply but effectively stated. Walk from this day forward and believe that it is so… right now standing in these shoes on this good earth. Become who you are; believe in this revelation. Joseph Campbell told us to “Live the life that is waiting”… for it is waiting; enter it now, stop your procrastination and walk this path that only welcomes you, no other. To not walk in this selfless way is to deprive the universe of you and tears into the very fabric of being. Read Walt Whitman’s Song of the Open Road, as an inspiration, a meditation, as a prayer to the radiance in being true to oneself… soon your whole self; mentally and physically will illuminate with the imagined life, drawing like-minded acquaintances on this journey… to listen to, to give advice to, to learn from. All it takes is a step with fortitude and purpose. And, by the way, on the road I speak of, one doesn’t need a vehicle, just the wind blowing through your mind!
