Onward To the Palace of Wisdom- Love, Pt. 1

8o4r7w5k3nThe Divine Fool  Laila and Majnu (Qais) -Ganjavi (Persia)
Qais falls in love with the moon princess, Laila whose name means sweetheart. Sadly her father marries her to another man. Qais love is so obsessive that he’s deemed insane and forbidden from seeing his beloved Laila in the flesh again. Thus he sees her in everything else. Qais roams the streets known only as Majnu, which in Persian means, “love stricken, possessed, madness, a lunatic”. Continue reading Onward To the Palace of Wisdom- Love, Pt. 1

And at the end of the day
The vast array of stars in the night sky
Give sight to the moon holding secret
The meeting of an endless ocean to an endless horizon.
It is here that one can embrace the vastness of the universe
And it is here I shall stay. Continue reading Ocean

Consider… The Soul, Vol.1

DIKNMVOV9MAll parts away for the progress of souls;
All religion, all solid things, arts, governments, all
that was or is apparent upon this globe or any globe,
falls into niches and corners before the procession of
Souls along the grand roads of the universe.
-Walt Whitman, Song of the Open Road, Public Domain.

Birth
After the seventh sojourn, I see the unborn soul glide through the universe on its way to birth in the tangible realm. Its mannerisms, shadows, Continue reading Consider… The Soul, Vol.1

The Blowing Rock and The Red Moon

IUVI2VVDXJ  “Our life today is not conclusion; a sequel stands beyond where we will walk hand in hand. It is as invisible as music but positive as sound.” – Emily Dickenson

The cold morning air nips at my hands on this autumn day as I arrive at the Blowing Rock and stand at the edge where it drops off into Johns River Gorge some 3000 ft to the depths below. According to legend, if you drop anything from this cliff, it will return to you. Even the snow will fall upside down. Is this a myth, wind currents or magic? Maybe all 3 are correct; for the wind is magic and mythology speaks to truths unseen. Continue reading The Blowing Rock and The Red Moon

If 6 Were 3, What I Long to Be- Act 18 & 27

Falcon-LittleBirdPure imagination, without form, the absence of ego, vertical, the strength of an oak, the rhyme between two words, the silence between two sounds, an open book, a lost manuscript, the knowing that knows it knows not, the rhythm in blues, Perceval in search of the Grail, a student of all, a teacher on call, a blue ocean, a joyful boat, a river that runs, a pond with no ripples, son of the light, a light in the dark, a smile, a good word, a horse with no reins, a blue falcon, the
left hand way, the still point, the dark side of the moon, a train in the night, acceptance, hope, Continue reading If 6 Were 3, What I Long to Be- Act 18 & 27

Onward To the Palace of Wisdom- Truth

B56661025BIt’s said that the angels on high are joyous whenever someone turns their back on the everyday mundane 9 to 5 life.  That‘s the journey, as Van Morrison sang, “From the dark end of the street to the bright side of the road”. The signs along this path are the inkling of a universe wanting to speak to us. Every turn is a lesson, the winking of an eye, which is contemplated only by those who stay young at heart. Journey on the Night Sea

IMG_2165To me, dreams are part of nature, which harbors no intention to deceive but expresses something as best it can. -Carl Jung

All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together… -Jack Kerouac

Each night before sleep invades my eyes I sit contemplating the day and its gifts. I stare at the moon rising in the sultry air and take a walk late into the evening and pray to rid myself of any despairing thoughts. In due time, I finally fall asleep. It is Continue reading Journey on the Night Sea

Hold on to the thread
The currents will shift
Glide me towards
You know something’s left
And we’re all allowed
To dream of the next,
Oh the next time we touch                                                                                                                             -Pearl Jam, Oceans Continue reading Oceans (in 5 Acts)

Vagabond Heart

“Not all who wander are lost”  FZQOV2XR3W                                        -Tolkien

One feels the need for the open country, the crowded city, the mesmeric ocean, or the reclusive mountains at any one point in a life. And as time moves on to an uncertain fate, so does the wandering spirit we give title to as the gypsy, the pilgrim, the bohemian. Continue reading Vagabond Heart
