Across the Mystic Sea

I awoke from an old dream last evening as the sun kissed the sky and rain came pouring in across the room. I am captured in time, of no major importance save that of time itself formed at the beginning of time save that of the mystic sea from whence we came.

And the sun filled the room like honey from the bee. I was in space/time flying home in this dream having been gone too long? As the peacefulness of all things becomes inherent, I close my eyes.

This is the sweetest time of day I tell you whether you come home from across the hemisphere or just the path to next door for you’ve been gone too long. Every year away and the times I felt astray I was always flying home from across the sea.

  1. Home is the arms that hold you close. To me, it’s an embrace.

Your melodic words are comforting and tugging. They spelled out the longing I feel when I’m not in that embrace. I loved how you touched upon metaphysics and a kind of “out of body” experience when the soul seeks a home. So beautiful.
