The Arc of a Dream

Arc of a dream

“Sometimes the dreams that come true are the dreams you never even knew you had.”
-Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones

As the morning star rises in the east with Venus not far behind, a dream presented itself during my night’s journey and escaped from the soul for the souls’ purpose. The dream path riddles me as its lined with metaphors to guide me as the new rays of the sun guide the earth for another round.

I was walking through the desert, it seemed like forever as moments turned into days and days turned into years, the terrain became all too familiar. I felt I knew where I was going, as though I’ve traveled this road before and now I’m being made to discover its secret passageway again. And thus a feeling of grace falls upon me for I am far from alone. It appears that I sense a knowing, in a subtle way, that my ending is my beginning and I’m where I belong for I see the yellow moon as it appears to communicate its mythos upon me. The Green Knight has beckoned me in the form of the earth and its beauty, not to deliver the fatal blow but to offer forgiveness for my absence of faith on the path and guidance.

For dreams are but whispers on the wind, the breath of God, whirled in the atmosphere of the universe for eons, touching everything under the sun, molding the human soul as if to do its bidding, taking ground only to keep traveling an endless flight. What makes one entertain these epiphanies… to hold court to ideas that have a foregone conclusion as to any proof? To believe only when proof avails itself is to live only in the mind. To believe without proof is bliss.

  2. This made me think of a quote I heard once. “For those who won’t believe, no explanation is possible. For those who believe, no explanation is necessary.”
To live without a sense of wonder would be an empty life, indeed.
