Charting The Rainbow

“You live that you may learn love. You love that you may learn to live. No other lesson is required of man.”
Mirad

One soul connects to another. But the longing which the cerebral mind intended may end up being completely different from what it originally sought, for the soul requires and demands something more, so our longing evolves laced with these core request. Love born just of passion will fade. As love born to reconnect to the image of a life long dead may resurrect the past, but not create the bridge to our true self, thus depriving the soul of its initial search.

How do we get to the point where love is born of the moment, a true rebirth beyond a purely physical personification without the past to infiltrate the moment? The ability to evoke Hermes and seal all that was good and bad of the past is essential or we haven’t really beheld the essence of this journey. Only then will the powers of earth and the universe be at hand to guide us.

If the eyes see for the heart and the heart is an extension of the soul, then the soul is truly seeking its other, not just any other, it searches in this place and time. Thus our surprise at whom it seeks out is proof of the vastness and wisdom the soul encompasses. Proof of how we have only begun to search this canyon.

Maybe, in the end, love is a commitment to one’s soul. Now that it has led us to its heart desire; will we stay the course and decide to do all we can to complete the circle… the sacred joining of souls. The inevitable discovery that these two canyons map out is a noble journey, uncharted until now.

  1. Wow! A beautiful, thought-inspiring post, JC. It seems to me that unless you find love in your own soul to start with, it’s impossible to love anyone else…intertwined until eternity, growing together. I love your concluding paragraph:

‘Maybe, in the end, love is a commitment to one’s soul. Now that it has led us to its heart desire; will we stay the course and decide to do all we can to complete the circle… the sacred joining of souls. The inevitable discovery that these two canyons map out is a noble journey, uncharted until now.’

A journey of discovery starts when we set out to chart that rainbow…poetically magically written!

    1. Thank you, Annika, I am humbled that my words can come together and help in the ways of love and lite. For at times they just come to me and I feel it is my job to help them into the world to hopefully give guidance and understanding.

  2. Thank you for this beautiful post JC, it rang so true in my hear this sunny morning.
You say: ” If the eyes see for the heart and the heart is an extension of the soul, then the soul is truly seeking its other, not just any other, it searches in this place and time. ” What a wonderful way to express love in its fullness.

Your photo of the canyon and rainbow representing the noble journey of the soul is beautiful
I also fell for the song, will play it again now.

    1. Thank you, Miriam, I am touched that you could see the meaning of the picture behind the rainbow and canyon. The sacred coming together of souls for this lifetime into eternity which is now if we believe in forever. Yes, we have been charting our rainbow for years upon end in different lifetimes until the message of universal love can hold true.

  3. Just a few days ago I saw several rainbows in different places as we were driving. And two or three of them were double rainbows, which I have never seen before. It was an amazing experience. It was so surprising that it couldn’t help but make me feel a lot of positive emotions. And little did I know that I was about to face two very challenging days after this. Through it I tried to hold onto the images and feelings of those rainbows. Outwardly everything went well in that I was safe. Unfortunately inwardly I was in turmoil and having a panic attack. But I am grateful for what I did learn from this experience. It brought to light some valuable things about myself I have been hiding from.

Thank you so much for sharing this…”seal all that was good and bad of the past is essential or we haven’t really beheld the essence of this journey” You helped me realize how incredibly difficult it has been for me to seal the bad of my past with any good. I have a hard time embracing my life as a whole. I fight against seeing or integrating the pain of my past because of so much fear of what has happened and the memories I have lost. Courage to integrate them rather than resist them is what I need. Maybe that is what therapy is all about. Again, thank you! This was very beautiful and inspiring!

    1. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. Sometimes we don’t know if our words fall on deaf ears. I am glad my post did resonate with you. You are correct, it does take couage and it is hard but I have found that we all have enough courage to see us through whatever comes our way. And you had a sign, a double rainbow, several of them. I find that nature always reinforces meaning in our lives, so when I see a rainbow or a hawk I know I’m about to learn something.

Again, thank you for your kind words.

All the best to you… jc

      1. This post was a nice reminder to be more in touch with nature, which somehow we have lost along the way. It makes me wonder how much this has affected our relationships with each other, and our ability to connect. You are welcome!
